Fall has come

It’s crazy to think the summer has gone by so fast and that we are into October already. I can’t ever come to this time of year without thinking “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers”. It is so true. The sun is gentle and golden and everything hasn’t quite gotten to be gray, mushy, and lifeless. There is a feeling of anticipation in the air and nature seems to be waiting for something exciting to happen. A couple of years ago, I took the picture below. I think it summarizes the beautiful, crisp mornings of this time of year. The horses in the mists are always so peaceful to watch.

God’s Daily Care

“As I watch the rising sun                                                                                                                                      When the Day has just begun,                                                                                                                                      I am thinking of the love                                                                            That comes daily from above.

Father, turn thine ear to me;                                                                                                                                   Let me offer thanks to thee                                                                                                                                     For thy wise and tender care                                                                    Of thy children ev’rywhere.”
